Then look no further! Conference Wales based in Cardiff has an excellent opportunity for someone who is a hardworking amiable individual, who is self-motivated, organized, confident and well presented; who is looking to grow and develop in their chosen field.

As a Hire Technician for Conference Wales (part of the Sounds Commercial Group of Companies) the essential duties will include setting up, operating and maintaining all audiovisual and multimedia facilities for a wide range of presentations, meetings, seminars, exhibitions and live events. Some of the daily tasks you will be involved with include assisting in the implementation and monitoring of a stock control system for all categories of the equipment, including all consumables and to ensure that all equipment, and equipment racks are kept in a tidy and in proficient order.

To ensure that all outgoing equipment is pre prepared for delivery and that all equipment specified on the delivery docket is present ready for delivery and that shortfalls are reported to Head Office.

A close liaison with the Hire and Conference Team, the Directors and Senior AV Technicians is essential, along with the co-ordination of forthcoming Conferences, and events. Self-organisation, pre planning and customer focus is an essential part of this role, as is an excellent telephone manner.

As a candidate you must have experience of working within a corporate audio visual environment, be smartly presented, have a practical nature and work well in a small team. You must be able to demonstrate considerable initiative and client-facing skills, you will have two years relevant experience, be customer focused, enthusiastic, have excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is important that you are flexible in relation to working hours as you will be required to work some weekends and evenings and on occasion away from home.

The Company has an enviable reputation for its service to Clients and it is the intention of the Directors to further improve the Companies quality of service.

A current driving license is essential and it would be preferred if you are based within 20 minutes travelling time of central Cardiff.
