Spirit of 76 – ‘a resounding success!’ – Andy Stockhausen – Bristol Evening Post.
This prestigious reunion event took place at the Bristol City Centre Marriott Hotel, and brought together 13 players from the 1975-76 squad and manager Alan Dicks.
Alan Dicks led the squad into the Bristol Suite to be welcomed by cheers from a red tie audience all there to commemorate the 35th anniversary. They were treated to an evening of nostalgia including videos from the era and the story of their success. The story was portrayed by Chris Bradfield, Event Organiser and lifetime fan.
After an evening of reminiscing and nostalgia the squad were each presented with a Bristol Red Glass commemorative plate.
All the players and attendees thoroughly enjoyed the evening which stirred many memories of the most successful era of the Club’s history.
