Chris Holt - Hire Manager
Chris has been with the company for over 3 years. He was trained in-house by our senior technicians, whom he has now taken over from. He is extremely competent in all areas of Audio Visual and is asked for by name by many of our clients. His interests include cars and playing in a very successful marching band.
Justin Daniels - Hire Manager (Technical)
Justin has a very wide knowledge of data and projection which he has gained for working on many large corporate and music festival projects. His advice and guidance to new members of staff is invaluable. His hobbies inlcude animation and film making. Justin is also recognised as an internationally acclaimed VJ, having worked with Classical, Dance and Jazz artists.
Dave Parnell - Hire Technician
Dave has been with the company for 3 years. He has been trained in-house and is a great asset to the department. He has a wide knowledge of the industry and is competent in any areas he may be utilised. He is a keen footballer and enjoys socialising with his colleagues and friends.
Dan Wilson - Hire Technician
Dan is a new addition to the growing Hire department. He is a keen sound engineer but is able to lend himself to any area of the job. His interests include playing the guitar and socialising with friends.
Mariusz Krol - On-Property AV Technician at Marriott Bristol Royal
Mariusz is a valued technician with excellent customer service skills, so much so many of our clients ask for him by name. He has a keen interest in lighting and has developed many of his own lighting products, as well as being well grounded in all other aspects of AV.Simon Cox - Hire Technician (Swindon Branch)
Simon has over 20 years experience as a Sound Engineer. He has worked in live music, recording studios, theatre and cabaret before settling in Conference and Events. Since then, Simon has successfully operated numerous major political party and trade union conferences. He was recently employed as the Stage Manager on a large cruise ship off Brazil. Simon has travelled extensively in India, lived in Israel for a year, hang glided over Rio and met his wife 5,500 metres high in the Himalayas. Simon is also an accomplished pianist, having played since the age of six.
Jason McCann - On-Property AV Technician at Marriott Leicester
Jason has worked at Sounds Commercial AV for the total of 4 years, when he joined us in the role as the In-House Audio Visual Technician at the newly opened Leicester Marriott Hotel. Jason has a great experience of the audio visual industry, ranging from a stage technician the 'Theatre World', to Technical Support Manager for event management organisations, to now his role that finds him managing the day to day audio visual & event requirements of an extremely busy major City Hotel. Jason has a keen interest in cars (vintage and new) and he was involved in assisting Richard Noble and his team in the last land speed record car.
Chris Naylor - AV Technician
Chris has a broad range of skills which can be utilised in many areas. He also likes a challenge and finding out a new or better way to solve a problem. Chris has a can do positive attitude especially with clients. His interests include voluntary work as scout leader and theatrical work and spending time in outdoor pursuits.
Stephen Silcock - Senior AV Technician On-Property AV Technician at Marriott Forest of Arden
Steve got into the AV industry more by chance than anything else when helping out a friend some 10 years ago which he really enjoyed and never stopped enjoying. He joined Sounds Commercial over five years ago. Outside of work, Steve enjoys the open air life with interests in golf, football and walking.Medhi Boubekeur - AV Technician (Midlands Branch)
Mehdi Boubekeur studied Mathematics and Economics before changing direction to pursue a career in Sound Engineering. Having learned and developed his skills further in video projection and lighting, Mehdi is a real asset to the company. When not at work, Mehdi likes to spend time with his family and friends; he is a keen golfer in the summer and a snowboarder in the winter and also plays the piano and drums.
Gavin Jackson - AV Technician (Midlands Branch)
From a young age Gavin has worked with sound and radio, DJing and producing music. He went on to study Media Production and consequently found a career with Sounds Commercial and the opportunity to learn and progress a highly knowledgeable Audio Visual technician. He is still a keen DJ and Producer and promotes regular club nights.
