The Matthew Clarke Conference was held in Marbella, with the focus on a more professional, better planned and supported organisation.

Bond was the theme and was applied seamlessly throughout the entire event, from graphic treatment to stage design, themed presentations and team building activities. The ideas were generated from the original Casino Royale which takes a light-hearted approach to Bond and action/spy/adventure films.

The event finished with a fabulous party and dinner to congratulate delegates on their hard work, and to celebrate the year’s successes with their annual awards. Palm trees surrounded the room, starcloth throughout created a stunning glittery ambience and iconic Bond imagery hung from the walls. Tables were themed with casino chips, giant Martini glasses and playing cards, the evening’s entertainment was pure RatPack style swing to tie-in with the theme.

We also provided a themed Casino area for the delegates to relax after dinner; with 2m high glittering dollar signs, 1m dice, giant playing cards and suit shapes – the perfect setting to our Casino Royale themed evening!

Guests arrived to the sight of the evil Bond headquarters – a dark lair full of intrigue and mystery! Presenters accessed the stage either from a staircase, built into the left wing of the stage, through a secret stage panel on the iconic ‘egg chair’ or by bursting through our special effects rock wall. The stage set consisted of many tiers, providing an interesting platform from which to present their ‘Mission Briefing’ – there was even a ‘floating bridge’ over a steaming shark pool, which was sunk into the set! Clever use of lighting hid exciting elements, revealing each section as the event unfolded.
