Grand Pier - Final Recruitment day

Sounds Commercial in partnership with the Grand Pier Weston-super-Mare produced one of the largest ever recruitment drives in the South West. The final recruitment day involved the hundreds of candidates living in and around Weston-super-Mare to join in a final interview day with a difference.

Around 300 golden tickets were issued to candidates who had been successful in the first two rounds of interviews and the excitement was evident as the queues formed along the seafront outside the Winter Gardens. Street performers entertained and enthused the queue of hopefuls before they entered the Winter Gardens in true showbiz style. They entered via a tunnel lit with lights and moving images and came out onto a red carpet to be met and photographed paparazzi style. They were entertained throughout the day by a variety of performers. Acts included Cirque Bijou who preformed a stunning array of ribbon trapeze acts, along with a Human beatbox, Fiddler on the Rope and The Eagles - an amazing acrobatic troupe from Tanzania who performed a high energy routine that demonstrated feats of poise, agility and rhythm.

Pier owner Kerry Michael revealed the successful applicants under an explosion of golden tickets at the grand finale interview ' Weston's Got Talent', there was cheering, laughter and complete delight from the candidates as they realised they had got the job.

Sounds Commercial are proud to have staged the whole recruitment process, from providing the entertainment, the stage set , all the AV lighting and sound and event managed the whole recruitment drive. It was a true reflection of how all departments work together to deliver a show stopping event.
