Doug Knight - Branch Manager

Originally from Glasgow, Douglas moved to Wales in 2000 and took on the role of General Manager at Conference Wales in October 2006. Douglas has a background in hospitality & retail management having managed several bars in Glasgow and spent 5 years as a branch manager at one of the country’s biggest home entertainment chains. In his spare time (whenever that is!!) he enjoys cinema, football, rugby, golf, music (both playing and listening) and reading.

Simon Tibbs - Senior Technician

Simon hails from the proud Welsh mining town of Blaenavon, by way of Twickenham in London, and has been employed as an Audio Visual Technician at Conference Wales since early 2006. Simon has brought a wealth of experience to Conference Wales having previously been employed at the London Film School and has worked as a technician on several film productions. Able to turn his hand to almost anything, Simon was promoted to the role of Senior Hires Technician/Hires Co-ordinator in March of 2008. Simon is a big supporter of the Wales Rugby team and also enjoys photography, music, cinema and cricket.

Scott Tancock - AV Technician

Scott graduated from Swansea University with a degree in Music Technology and I think it would be fair to say that music is Scott’s main passion. As well as being a highly skilled and accomplished sound technician he also devotes a lot of his time to playing with his band. Scott started with us at Conference Wales in December 2007 and has shown himself to be a conscientious member of staff with a tremendous eye for detail. As well as his love of music, Scott also enjoys seeing live music, Swansea City Football Club and going to the cinema.

Andrew Thompson - AV Technician

Our newest recruit, Andrew started as an Audio Visual Technician at Conference Wales in April 2008. Having moved from Essex to attend Glamorgan University, at which he attained a BSc in Sound Technology; Andrew has been putting his skills to good use in the Audio Visual sector having been employed as an AV technician in Pembroke prior to his move to Cardiff and Conference Wales. Andrew has a keen interest in both playing and listening to music and enjoys socialising, walking and cycling in his spare time.

James Morgan - AV Technician

James is another graduate in Music Technology from Glamorgan University; he has been an Audio Visual Technician at Conference Wales since November 2006 and has brought a wide range of talents to the company. Adept in most situations, James is an invaluable member of the Conference Wales team. Before joining Conference Wales, James was employed at a very well known recording studio in Newport, South Wales. When not at a mixing desk James enjoys playing music with his band, listening to music and going to the cinema.
